about the author

To speak openly (and, more importantly, in the Third Person), Bryan is a Wondernaut/fairweather Fictionary who has written for the CW's (formerly the WB's) "Smallville," staffed on seasons eight, nine and ten. Bryan has also penned the third volume of DC Comics' "Batgirl." He is currently writing "Smallville Season 11" for DC Comics, as well secret things for secret companies, organizations and publishers.

It should also be made clear that he has almost never seen a Frankenstein.

Donuts are awesome and I like to eat them.  I would like people to know where they can find donuts worth eating.

INFORMATION ATTACK! WONDERCON 2012 EDITION

Anaheim, CA. WonderCon 2012 (March 16-18). Should anyone want to say "hey," I shall be there in the following capacities:

FRIDAY:
1:00-2:00 DC Comics: All Access
— A lot can happen in a year! Come by for unfiltered access to DC editors as they talk all things DC! Find out what they have to share from behind the scenes at your favorite and most talked about comics publisher. Joining the All-Access party will be some of the industry's top talents, so don't miss out! Room 204

SATURDAY:
12:30-1:30 CAC Session 6: Lessons Learned from Batgirl about Female Superheroes and Trauma: Resilience, Recovery, and Relaunch
— Is it healthy to be a female character in today's comics? Do comic book superheroines still face different traumas from those faced by their male counterparts? Psychologists Andrea Letamendi (UCLA), Robin Rosenberg(The Psychology of Superheroes), and Travis Langley (Batman and Psychology: A Dark and Stormy Knight), with the help of writer Bryan Q. Miller (Batgirl, Smallville), explore how gender differences figure into storytelling issues and reflect on the dangers, support, and expectations encountered by women in real-world high-risk and life-threatening environments. Room 210

5:00-6:00 DC Comics signing area. Will be joined by Cat Staggs, Smallville Season 11 digital cover artist. And we just may have some printouts of the "Clarkie flyin' at 'ya" cover for folks who stop by. BONUS: I'll also have a healthy amount of Batgirl Vol. 3 comics to sign and send out into the universe. First person to stop by dressed as Stephanie Brown in ANY incarnation gets all three Batgirl Vol. 3 trades (Batgirl Rising, The Flood and The Lesson) signed, to do with as they wish.
